About the Illustrator

Hello, my name is Lucas De Andreotti. I’m a freelance illustrator from Mar del Plata, Argentina. I've loved drawing and reading since I was a kid, which led me to develop an interest in comics and books.

I used to love trying to copy characters or scenes from comics—starting with Disney comics, then Ghostbusters, and later during my teenage years, superheroes. One particular Spider-Man saga (my favorite character) illustrated by MacFarlane totally blew my mind.

Years went by without me drawing—life took its turns. But working in screen printing introduced me to the work of many illustrators. Printing their illustrations slowly rekindled my passion.

From 2020 to 2024, I trained at various illustration schools and took workshops in concept art, composition, character design, and more. Nowadays, I continue learning (you never really stop, especially with how fast technology is advancing) while turning this beautiful craft into my profession.

I fell in love with the story of My Guardian Ninja from the very beginning—not only because of my love for the fantasy genre, but also because I’ve been passionate about martial arts for as long as I can remember. I practiced Aikido and Kung Fu, which brought me closer to Eastern culture in general. Discovering elements of Japanese mythology (among many others) in a fantasy novel absolutely fascinated me.

I'm very happy to be part of this project. Tom is an excellent storyteller, which makes My Guardian Ninja an incredibly enjoyable journey. Every chapter leaves you wanting more. I have no doubt that many parents and children will enjoy the adventures of the characters in this great story.
